Whoop whoop

I have been unable to sleep again thinking about the big match tonight. I let it slip to my wife this morning that, if United lost, she may as well write off the rest of the week as I will be sulking; but if United win, I will be bouncing off the ceiling. As I listened to myself saying this ridiculous statement, it made me realise that working in our industry is exactly the same. I think that all PRs are adrenalin junkies.
Why do I say this? Just come to our office for a couple of hours and watch the amusing array of celebrations taking place around the room as different results come flying in every day. I personally favour kissing my wedding ring and punching the air, but there are a variety of “whoop whoop” noises and funny dances.
When United scores, I always love to see the manager celebrate as he generally jumps around and flaps his hands in the air like an embarrassing Dad. It always looks uncordinated and terrible but I love it, because it’s clear how much it means to him. The celebrations in our office are the same. It makes me realise that getting the right result means as much to the people around me as it does to me.
