As part of my job I work hard to keep ahead of any technological advances that might be, in some way relevant for my clients and regularly check sites such as Silicon, IT Pro and Techworld, but also consumer focused portals like BBC, ITN and Yahoo news.  Every so often I have to read a story twice, just to double check that I am not completely losing the plot, and the following story was no exception.

Sega Toys has produced a 15 inch tall robotic girlfriend for men that kisses on command. The robot is called Eternal Maiden Actualization (catchy!) and will go on sale in September at the bargain price of £90. According to the makers, they wanted to break away from the traditional robot stereotype and create something that’s “sweet and interactive” for lonely adult men. At the risk of sounding like my grandfather, what will they think of next?!
