Creating our own language

The Mirror reported today that the phrase “wardrobe malfunction” has made it into the dictionary, along with “credit crunch”, “botnet” and “Blu-Ray”. I’m all for common modern phrases being accepted into the dictionary and would love to see more contemporary tech terms make the grade. (I’d also like to see a number of words - “leverage”, for example - removed, but that’s really another matter.) The introduction of these new words might well cause a few arguments over the next game of Scrabble at Christmas, but I think it’s great and proves the importance of the technology industry in everyday life.
