Olympic fever brings new words to light

I, like most of Great Britain have been glued to the Olympics over the past week or so, getting caught up in the gold winning fever of the past few days. But what I have noticed is a few new additions to the English language, as commentators have got a little over excited during the action.
My favourite so far has to be the description of Michael Phelps as “the most ‘winningist’ Olympian of all time”. There has also been a lot of medalling, and not in the sense of making a nuisance of oneself, with “to medal” becoming the latest verb to describe gaining a bronze, silver or gold medal.
