European analysts to follow on Twitter

Twitter is the hottest subject in the blogosphere at the moment with everyone and their dog reviewing its merits in the business world and most having an opinion on its value. One of the other hot topics is the difficulty in finding people. In our industry Stephen Davies has got the ball rolling with a list of journalists on Twitter.
This is great, but there is one important group that shouldn’t be forgotten. When preparing campaigns for our clients Berkeley PR understands that analyst relations (AR) should work hand-in-hand with a traditional press relations (PR). Analysts can be a strong advocate in the public domain and also have a substantial influence on the media – driving the news agenda and shaping the direction of future technology product and service developments. With this in mind, Twitter is a great way to monitor and communicate with this influential group.
I started looking around to see who from the analyst community was using Twitter and discovered a great list on SageCircle. Using a combination of our own research and that of SageCircle (which is a worldwide list including corporate and PR contacts) I have produced a list which only includes European based analysts, listing the company they work for and specific research areas to make it easier to identify the appropriate analyst.
This is by no means a definitive list, but a start, which I hope lets you pick and choose analysts rather than just clicking through a list following everyone. If I have missed anybody out from Europe please give me a heads up in the comments section and likewise we will be very happy to remove anyone that doesn’t want to be on here. Please note that we have taken the decision to only include individual analysts rather than analyst firms or their PR people.

Good list Luke - nice one.
Worth creating a separate page on the PR people Wiki site so it can easily be kept up to date? http://ukmediatweeple.pbwiki.com/
Hi Luke,
Thanks for the link to the SageCircle Analyst Twitter Directory. Nice job making a subset that focuses on European-based analysts
There is also a companion Twitter directory for analyst relations (AR) professionals that you can find in the left nav bar of the SageCircle blog or http://sagecircle.wordpress.com/directories/ar-twitter-directory/. Both directories are usually updated weekly.
Besides the two Twitter directories, we have also written a number of posts (55+ and counting) about the implications of social media for vendor AR teams and industry analysts (see category http://sagecircle.wordpress.com/category/social-media/ ).
BTW, SageCircle is one word.

Hi Carter,
